Ex- Armyman murders wife and boils body parts in pressure cooker
text_fieldsHyderabad: A former Army personnel in Telangana's Hyderabad claims that he murdered his wife and disposed of her body, The Free Press Journal reported.
The accused, Guru Murthy, reportedly chopped his wife’s body into pieces before boiling them in a pressure cooker.
The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Puttavenkata Madhavi.
Police are seeking more details of the incident that took place on January 15.
After Madhavi’s relatives filed a missing complaint on January 18, Guru Murthy claimed she left home following an argument. He confessed to crime when police questioned him.
The accused claimed that after boiling her body parts he disposed of them in a lake
The suspect, currently employed as a security guard, allegedly murdered his wife after an argument with her.
Police found that the couple quarreled frequently over the last few days, IANS reported citing police.
The police have registered a case and started a detailed investigation.
Following the accused's claims, the police have started a search for her body parts in the lake where they were disposed of.
After retirement in the Army, he became a security guard at DRDO in Kanchan Bagh.
The Times of India reported that Guru Murthy chopped her body in the bathroom, before boiled them in a pressure cooker.
Later he reportedly separated the bones, ground them using a pestle and boiled them again, which he did for three days.
Afterwards, he packed and dumped them into Meerpet Lake.
Married 13 years ago, they have two children.
After the brutal murder the accused went to Meerpet Police Station along with her parents.
