BJP promises Gujarat anti-radicalisation cells, Uniform Civil Code, 20 lakhs job

Gandhinagar: The establishment of anti-radicalisation cells targeting anti-India elements, the complete implementation of the Uniform Civil Code and 20 lakhs jobs are among the promises the BJP made in the manifesto for the Gujarat Assembly elections.
Releasing the manifesto, BJP's national president, JP Nadda, said the promises made in the manifesto will be implemented if the party voted back to power in Gujarat.
Elections to the legislature in Gujarat are scheduled to be held on December 1 and 5 and votes will be counted on December 8.
Promising the establishment of the anti-radicalisation cell, Nadda said that it would help the elimination of the threats of destabilisation as well as the sleeper cells of radical groups, terrorist organisations and anti-India forces.
He said there will also be a new law in the state to identify and penalise those who damage private and public properties. The BJP chief also promised the implementation of the recommendations prepared by the Gujarat Uniform Civil Code Committee.
The BJP promises include the establishment of a Gujarat Institute of Technology, the conversion of 20,000 government schools into Schools of Excellence, and the generation of 20 lakh employment opportunities for the youth.
Rs 10,000 crores for developing agricultural marketing infrastructure, 25,000 crores for irrigation facilities, offering medical insurance worth Rs10 lakhs under the Ayushman Bharat scheme and developing three medicines and two state-of-the-art hospitals in the state are among the other promises made by the party in its manifesto.
Incumbent Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil were also present to release the party's election manifesto in Gandhinagar.
