Benguluru Drug Bust case: NCB mounts Malayalam film industry

Benguluru: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB )is extending its investigation to Malayalam film industry on Benguluru drug case. The investigation team had earlier confirmed that Anoop Muhammed, the second accused in the case and Bineesh Kodiyeri have close links regarding the drug case.

The details including financial transactions have been collected by the probe team led by NCB Zonal Director Amit Gwatte at the EDO office on Saturday. Gwatte is in charge of the investigation into the drug case related to the death of Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput.

NCB's inquiry will be extended to the field of Bollywood, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema as well. Related to the drug racket in the Kannada film industry, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Benguluru arrests Natya Maraya Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjana Ga Maya and Shias Muhammed, actor and model in malayalam film industry.

According to the reports, NCB has collected information on prime accused D Anikha who has connection with film and music celebrties in Kannada. Same as the second accused, Anoop Muhammed, is associated with those in the Malayalam film industry.

The NCB has started preliminary inquiry about the relations of Bineesh and Anoop in Malayalam Film industry and the celebrity parties. The third accused Rijesh Riveendran, a native of Thrissur told NCB that he met Anoop in a party at Goa.

The statement of the accused in the drug case also revealed that several parties were held at Kochi led by Anoop to suplly drugs. Some of the Kannada fames are also arrested for conducting such parties.

The CCB issued a look out notice on Adithya Alvakkai, brother in law of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and son of former Janathadal's minister Jeevaraj Alva. The expanding investigation of NCB will strike anxious in many actors. Reports says that Bineesh Kodiyeri will be taken to custody by NCB after producing in the court.
