Selena Gomez announces engagement to Benny Blanco

Los Angeles: Actress and singer Selena Gomez is engaged to her partner, music producer Benny Blanco. She revealed the exciting news on Instagram, sharing a carousel of photos that included a close-up of her engagement ring and a picture of her and Blanco celebrating with laughter and a hug.

In the post's caption, Gomez wrote that "forever begins now." Blanco, eager to make their union official, commented, "Hey wait… that's my wife." The bride-to-be also shared a mirror selfie on her Instagram Stories, proudly showcasing her new engagement ring.

Blanco had hinted at the possibility of marriage during a May appearance on 'The Howard Stern Show', where he expressed that he could see a future with Gomez. He remarked that when he looked at her, he couldn’t imagine a better world than the one they shared.

Gomez and Blanco have known each other for years and previously collaborated on the 2019 single "I Can't Get Enough" alongside Tainy and J Balvin. They began dating in June 2023. Later that year, in August 2023, Gomez released the Blanco-produced single "Single Soon."

In December 2023, Gomez publicly confirmed their relationship by liking fan accounts on Instagram that posted about the pair. She even commented on one of them, expressing that Blanco was "my absolute everything in my heart."

The couple made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Emmys in January. Gomez later spoke about their relationship during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, where she mentioned the importance of finding someone who respects her and understands her world. She added that being with Blanco had made her feel "the safest" she ever has, describing the relationship as "really lovely" and one that has allowed her to grow.
