After the launch of Indian-developed microblogging app 'Koo' a number of prominent people have come out in support of it including Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who has been vocal in her criticism of Twitter's policies.

"Your time is up @Twitter time to shift to #kooapp will inform everyone soon about my account details there.

Absolutely thrilled to experience homegrown #kooapp," the actress tweeted.

She also lashed out at Twitter founder Jack Dorsey after Twitter revealed that it had withheld certain accounts, questioning the platforms right to judge who should have an account and say what.

The actress' account had earlier been suspended and certain tweets removed after allegedly violating Twitter's policy restrictions. Kangana had also reiterated that her freedom of speech was being stifled.
