PM Modi opens UP investors' summit, projects worth ₹80,000 crore initiated
text_fieldsLucknow: As well as opening the ambitious mega investors summit here, Prime Minister Modi on Friday laid the foundation stone for 1,406 projects worth more than ₹80,000 crore.
The third Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit focuses on diverse fields including agriculture, IT and Electronics, MSME, manufacturing, renewable energy, pharma, tourism, defence and aerospace, handloom and textile.
Leading industrialists of India including Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla are attending the Uttar Pradesh government's mega summit here.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are among those in attendance.
The first Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit was held on July 29, 2018 and the second one took place on July 28 the following year.
At the first summit, 81 projects worth over ₹61,500 crore were initiated.
The second one saw 290 projects with investments of over ₹67,000 crore getting underway.
