Adani assures Boris Johnson $70bn investment in UK for clean energy

London: Gautam Adani told the United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson that Adani Group would commit 70 billion dollars to energy transition via solar and others, Asian News International reported. On Tuesday, Adani met the prime minister at the Global Investment Summit here.
Post his meeting with the PM, Adani expressed his gratitude on Twitter. He tweeted that he was honoured to meet UK PM Borris Johnson at the summit.
He thanked the UK government and its department of international trade for the opportunity. He said that Jonson's leadership is inspiring in synchronising global climate action.
Earlier on Tuesday, Adani Group had tweeted that their chairman says that the battle against climate change must be fought with equitable and pragmatic policies.
The tweet further read that speaking on the sidelines of the UK governments Global Investment Summit in London, the chairman called for setting practical goals and agendas to overcome the climate crisis.
